Teacher
Ms. Veronica Mascaro has enjoyed 25 years of private flute and piccolo instruction. In that time, she has had the pleasure of working with flutists of many different ages and levels of expertise. Ms. Mascaro offers a caring yet professional learning atmosphere for her students.
Veronica began her solo career with the Reading Symphony at age 15 and has performed with other local symphonies in the Philadelphia metropolitan area as well as with the Bendův komorní orchestr (from the Czech Republic) in both Spain and in Prague. She is a member of the Kennett Symphony Orchestra and freelances in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.
Veronica also performs and records for the National Association of Composers, USA (NACUSA). Her teachers include Kenneth Andrews, Robert Stallman, Jeanne Scheneman, Emily Newbold, Michel Debost, Kathleen Chastain and Jos
hua Smith. She has participated in master classes in both the US and Europe.
In 2001, the Florida Flute Association honored her successful teaching with a teacher's scholarship. In 2002, along with William Newman, Veronica was awarded the Florida Flute Association’s “Geoffrey Gilbert Performer's Scholarship” and in the spring of 2003, with collaborative pianist Kristin Ditlow, released her first solo recording titled "The Mouquet Collection".

e recently released their first set of transcriptions, "The Three Romances", Op. 94 by Robert Schumann and “Assobio a Jato” by Heitor Villa-Lobos, both under the Asterisk Music label.
Veronica is the founding member of the Flutes de Amore Quartet as well as the PA Flute Troop. She is past winner of the National Flute Association's Professional Flute Choir. In the summer of 2003, she began her relationship with the AMEROPA Chamber Music Festival, traveling to Prague, Czech Republic to perform and teach in the celebrated chamber music festival.
During the summer of 2005, the Mascaro-Newman duo, traveled to Madrid, Spain, to perform and serve as faculty members at the 2005 Boccherini Festival. Veronica has returned to Madrid in 2006 and 2007 to serve as faculty member and performer for the ChamberArt Chamber Festival and Courses and will continue to serve on the faculty at the AMEROPA Solo Master Class and Chamber Festival and Courses in Prague, Czech Republic. In 2007 and again in 2008, Veronica has served as faculty member at the Young Musician's Community Orchestra (YMCO) preparation camp. Veronica teaches in her own studio "The Flute Studio" and is the flute instructor at the Hill School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania where she also conducts the "Hill Flutes" flute choir. In 2001, the Florida Flute Association honored her successful teaching with a very generous teacher's scholarship.
